I wanted to share a couple of quick shots (taken with my now-obsolete iPhone 3GS) of the artwork I completed for my Daughter’s 1st Birthday, which was this past Sunday.

Lots of bright pink butterflies, that look pretty basic from far away. However if you get up close, you’ll see that each has a distinct pattern on the wings. Along with this, all of the antenna and wing shapes are completely unique as well.

It took a while, but I sure am glad it’s done. I figure I can get around 9 years out of this sucker before she decides she hates butterflies (and probably me), and then I’ll stuff it in the attic until she gives it to her own daughter some day.

Just a quick one today as I toy around with a few facial expressions.

My Son asked for, “A dinosaur bird with big teeth and a seat for me to ride on.”

One more using Sketchbook Pro.  I’m not sure if the software feels the same way about me, but I think… I think I’m falling in love!

Whipped this up while trying out the latest version of Sketchbook Pro today.  I really need more practice at this type of illustration.

I feel so lucky to have the same fun little side gig I’ve had for the past 6 years. It’s a nice little bit of extra money to pay for all of those toy trains my son seems to “need,” and it lets me draw fun little images like this one.

MOO!

The name of the game was “Muscle Cars,” so I drew a car… with muscles.
I’m a genius.

Ever wonder what the Bigfoot family’s vacation photos might look like?
On a related note, I really can’t draw Bigfoot to save my life.
